- **Runtime name (Lua/JS):** `GetCarcassFromPelt`
- **Side:** client (game native)
- **Name status:** community guess (may change)
- **Documentation:** described
- **Since game build:** 1207
- **Other names:** `_GET_ENTITY_FROM_PELT`
- **URL:** https://natives.borderlinerp.com/natives/ENTITY/_GET_CARCASS_FROM_PELT

## Signature

```c
Entity _GET_CARCASS_FROM_PELT(Entity entity);
```

## Parameters

- `entity` (`Entity`)

## Returns

`Entity`

## Description

*Source: alloc8or RDR3 NativeDB*

Returns the original animal/carcass entity from which a pelt entity was obtained.
Observed after skinning an animal: passing the created pelt entity returns the original animal entity. Returns 0 if no valid source entity exists.

*Source: VORPCORE RDR3natives*

Returns the original animal (carcass) entity from which a pelt entity was obtained if it still exists

## Usage

### Lua

```lua
local retval = GetCarcassFromPelt(entity)
-- always available, by hash
local retval = Citizen.InvokeNative(0x2A77EF9BEC8518F4, entity, Citizen.ResultAsInteger())
```

### JavaScript

```js
const retval = GetCarcassFromPelt(entity);
// by hash
const retval = Citizen.invokeNative('0x2A77EF9BEC8518F4', entity, Citizen.returnResultAnyway(), Citizen.resultAsInteger());
```

### C#

```csharp
int retval = Function.Call<int>((Hash)0x2A77EF9BEC8518F4, entity);
```

- The name is a community guess and may change. If the named call is missing in your client build, use `InvokeNative` with the hash — it always works.
