# VOLUME::SET_VOLUME_SCALE

- **Hash:** `0xA46E98BDC407E23D`
- **Namespace:** VOLUME
- **Runtime name (Lua/JS):** `SetVolumeScale`
- **Side:** client (game native)
- **Name status:** official
- **Documentation:** named only
- **Since game build:** 1207
- **URL:** https://natives.borderlinerp.com/natives/VOLUME/SET_VOLUME_SCALE

## Signature

```c
BOOL SET_VOLUME_SCALE(Volume volume, float scaleX, float scaleY, float scaleZ);
```

## Parameters

- `volume` (`Volume`)
- `scaleX` (`float`)
- `scaleY` (`float`)
- `scaleZ` (`float`)

## Returns

`BOOL`

## Usage

### Lua

```lua
local retval = SetVolumeScale(volume, scaleX, scaleY, scaleZ)
-- always available, by hash
local retval = Citizen.InvokeNative(0xA46E98BDC407E23D, volume, scaleX, scaleY, scaleZ, Citizen.ReturnResultAnyway())
```

### JavaScript

```js
const retval = SetVolumeScale(volume, scaleX, scaleY, scaleZ);
// by hash
const retval = Citizen.invokeNative('0xA46E98BDC407E23D', volume, scaleX + 0.0000001, scaleY + 0.0000001, scaleZ + 0.0000001, Citizen.returnResultAnyway());
```

### C#

```csharp
bool retval = Function.Call<bool>((Hash)0xA46E98BDC407E23D, volume, scaleX, scaleY, scaleZ);
```

- Float parameters: Lua integers (`10`, or whole numbers decoded from NUI/JSON) are sent as ints and read as garbage. Write `10.0` or `value + 0.0`. The generated JS wrappers add `0.0000001` to non-zero floats for the same reason.
