Parameters

listenerPed—
includeNoiseBoostBOOL—

Returns BOOL

Description

alloc8or RDR3 NativeDB

Returns true if listener can hear source.
If includeNoiseBoost is true, the source's noise radius is applied (easier to hear).
It treats the source as louder. Its current noise expands the effective hearing range (by subtracting noiseRadius² from dist²), while false uses the baseline distance-only check (stealth).

Usage

Lua
local retval = CanPedHearTargetPed(source, listener, includeNoiseBoost)

-- always works, by hash
local retval = Citizen.InvokeNative(0x0EA9EACBA3B01601, source, listener, includeNoiseBoost, Citizen.ReturnResultAnyway())
JavaScript and C#
JavaScript
const retval = CanPedHearTargetPed(source, listener, includeNoiseBoost);

// by hash
const retval = Citizen.invokeNative('0x0EA9EACBA3B01601', source, listener, includeNoiseBoost, Citizen.returnResultAnyway());
C#
bool retval = Function.Call<bool>((Hash)0x0EA9EACBA3B01601, source, listener, includeNoiseBoost);
  • The name is a community guess and may change. If the named call is missing in your client build, use InvokeNative with the hash — it always works.
